Message From The Pastor

THE VISION FROM THE VISIONARY

Pastor Randolph wearing a grey suit

"Where there is no vision the people perish: ..." Proverbs 29:18

As pastor of St. Rosa Primitive Baptist Church, I would like to thank God for the vision and ask His blessings upon this church and all who enter these sanctified walls. I pray that we will be a church that is a lamp to the path of Christians, leading them to goodness, truth and beauty. In the vision that God has given me, I see St. Rosa as a spirit filled church that will be leading God's people to higher heights. The church will develop more ministries. With these ministries, as a church, we can do more of the work that God has commission us to do (Ex: help save souls, visit the sick, feed the hungry, help lift heavy burdens, etc.). There is also a need for us to open the minds of our broth ers and sisters so they might understand the scriptures. If we understand what the scriptures say, then God can work on the inside of us and His spirit and mighty works can show on the outside.

I pray pews will be filled. And that the church will do great works and bring others into its worship and fellowship. It will be a church where barriers are torn down. In this vision, I see a unified church doing the works of God and growing in His grace, a church of loyalty and love, of fearlessness and faith, and a church with a noble spirit.

Therefore, with the help of God, I shall dedicate myself to the task of full filling the vision that has been given to me. I see great things in the future for the St. Rosa. It will grow, if I grow with it. We are on a mission for the Lord.

Elder Johnny E. Randolph, Pastor

Elder Randolph is a native of Tallahassee, Florida and the youngest child of the late Isaac and Lydia Randolph. He is married to the lovely and wonderful, Sondra Sherman Randolph (38 years) and the father of six (6) children. At an early age he learned about honesty, integrity, humility, perseverance, and good work ethic. He never meets a stranger and his heart is open to everyone. He enjoys singing, spending time with family and "FISHING!"

Elder Randolph was ordained by the Old West Florida Primitive Baptist Association and began his pastorate in June, 1990 at St. Phillip P. B. Church of Christ and at St. Rosa P. B. Church in January, 1999. He was past Chairman of the Old West Florida Primitive Baptist Association Presbytery and is currently the Marshall.

Under his leadership at St Rosa, God continues to do great things for the Church Family: souls have been saved, marriages have been made, babies have been blessed and only God knows what is next. Our church has a new fellowship hall, a new baptismal pool, new lighting in the sanctuary, a new sound system, an Outreach & Hospitality Ministry, a newly established Willing Workers' Ministry and a monthly bible study fellowship. To God Be the Glory!

Elder Johnny E. Randolph! He is CHOSEN, EQUIPED, GOD-FEARING and BLESSED by God. He is a MAN that believes that "it is not WHO is right, but WHAT is right!"He is a man who reminds you that you must have a "personal relationship" with God to make it in life. He is a man that often asks SAINTS to "follow him, while he follows Jesus!"
